Greetings from Planet Eleek and welcome to the seventh edition of Eleek Speak, our occasional email newsletter. It's October and autumn has definitely arrived in the Northwest. Any hopes of an Indian summer were dispelled weeks ago. The leaves are changing, falling and blowing away faster than you can say "hello rain," but we don't mind (mostly). If it were sunny here all the time it would be overcrowded, right?
We have exciting news (at least it's exciting to us) and a lovely new luminaire to introduce. Thanks, as always, for your support. We couldn't do it without you!
Lighting for Tomorrow Competition
Lighting for Tomorrow's sixth annual competition results were announced on September 11th. While the competition was created to honor manufacturers who offer stylish, functional fixtures utilizing compact fluorescent lamping and meeting Energy StarĀ® requirements, the jury has never before recognized a manufacturer for sustainability in general. Eleek is proud to receive an Honorable Mention for Sustainability for our Takashima recycled aluminum line of fixtures. For more information, click here.
Eleek in the Press
If you live in the western half of the US and haven't yet seen the new issue of Sunset magazine, check it out! Eleek is spotlighted in a "Designers to Watch" profile on page 22. We are delighted to be part of Sunset's progressive focus on the best green building materials available.

The new issue of Renovation Style magazine features an interview with Eleek designer and founder Eric Kaster, and a spotlight of the Calliope Chandelier.
